An exhibit of the diverse works of art created by Knoxville artist Suzanne Jack will open on July 8 at ORUUC's Art Gallery. Refreshments will be served at a reception staring at 5:30 pm. The artist will discuss her displayed paintings starting at 6 pm. The public is invited and entry is free. The exhibit of Ms. Jack's works at ORUUC will run through the end of August and may be viewed during the hours of 9-5 Monday-Friday and 9:30-12 Sunday each week.
Suzanne Eberle Jack is a national award winning artist whose artistic sensibilities capture the beauty and spirit of nature through dynamic energy, luminous light and a vivid color palette. Published in the 2006 spring edition of “Pastel Journal,” her art work has been purchased by corporate collectors such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Opryland and Tennessee Valley Authority as well as by private collectors.
Ms. Jack shares her inspiration, “A joyful heart flows from a spirit nourished by understanding one’s emotions, character and passions.” Her paintings and pastels communicate her reverence for nature and a fascination with timeless beauty.
The artist and former art educator graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Art Education. She later earned a Master's Degree in Art Education at the University of Tennessee.
Her work has been exhibited at Vanderbilt and Ohio State University Clubs, the Renaissance Center in Dickson, TN and the 18th International Pastel Exhibition in Seattle as well as numerous other locations. Gallery showings include Cumberland Gallery in Nashville, Blue Spiral Gallery in Ashville, Art Access of Bexley, Ohio and Art Market Gallery in Knoxville.
