Thank you for visiting the ORUUC Board of Trustees Webpage. The 2008/2009 Board has been working on ways to be better connected with the congregation. We want you to know us and why we are dedicated to serving you and the Unitarian Universalist Community as a whole. At our annual board retreat in September, we decided that a webpage with information about each of us might assist in opening the doors of communication. The April Shower of money--$101,000.--we raised toward our mortgage (announced by Brian Yount and Rob Gunter at the Easter service) leaves us with only seven more mortgage payments. Hurrah! However, we know in this recessionary year that the budget will be tight. When we finish the mortgage payments, we will pick up the year's salary for the Membership Coordinator--as we agreed to do in the Chalice Lighter Grant we got for the original position. Lucy Nichols has been highly successful in serving in this job. We are required (and we desire) to pay for her salary for the next year. More good financial news: for several months we have been operating in the black. Way to go ORUU's! Let's just tighten our belts, pull in the pledges, and sail through this recession with the rest of our country.
