Join us this Sunday for our June worship series, Freedom as we watch a rebroadcast of the June 22 Worship Service from General Assembly in Baltimore.
Enjoy the General Assembly "Meet the Moment" Worship via streaming video in the sanctuary or on zoom. Our annual UU GA worship includes some of the most innovative worship techniques and is always an inspiring time!
To attend by Zoom, please install the Zoom app on your device and use Meeting ID: 890 7958 2989. We will begin admitting guests at 9:45 a.m.
Please email or text Prayer Requests to: joysandsorrows@oruuc.org.
Please note: There will be no nursery this Sunday during or after worship.
The Share-the-Plate recipient for this final Sunday in June is The Katie Tyson Fund for Youth and Young Adult Ministries. This fund exists to kindle the sparks of leadership among Unitarian Universalist youth and young adults. The fund supports scholarships, grants, and youth and young adult projects, conferences, outreach, and more. Katie was a rising leader in the UU movement when she sadly passed away in 2009 on her way home from General Assembly in Salt Lake City. She was only 21. Katie’s parents, Karen and Herb Tyson, had a vision for youth and young adults to be empowered to live out their dreams, to weave our Unitarian Universalist principles into the fabric of their expanding lives, and to encourage others to do the same. For more information, visit https://www.uua.org/giving/areas-support/funds/tyson-fund. Please give here: https://onrealm.org/oruuc/-/form/give/now as you are willing and able, or text “ORUUC” to 73256.
After the service, you’re invited to enjoy coffee and conversation in the Social Hall. Youth Faith Formation classes are on summer break until August 10. Adult Faith Formation classes take place from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Find out more about our regular Faith Formation opportunities for adults here: http://www.oruuc.org/faith-formation-for-adults and children and youth here: http://www.oruuc.org/religious-education.
Masks are not required in the building; however, they are available, along with hand sanitizer, in various locations throughout the church. We encourage you to assess your personal risks and do what makes you feel comfortable, whether that means wearing a mask or worshiping with ORUUC from home on Zoom. We ask that if you have symptoms or have had a COVID exposure, please stay home and join us on Zoom. For more information on Covid, visit the CDC website at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/index.html. We appreciate your continued cooperation as we work to keep our community safe and healthy.
All are welcome! We look forward to seeing you!
