The Share-the-Plate recipient for December is the Free Medical Clinic of Oak Ridge. This community non-profit, primarily staffed by volunteers, offers free medical services to those who live in Anderson, Roane, and Morgan counties. It serves people who do not have insurance and cannot afford to pay for medical services due to their income level; it can literally mean the difference between life and death for some people. We all deserve adequate health care and to be treated with worth and dignity (our first principle). After the service this morning, we invite you for coffee and conversation in the Social Hall. Adult Faith Formation Classes take place from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Youth classes and the nursery are taking a break over the school holiday. Masks are not required in the building; however, they are available, along with hand sanitizer, in various locations throughout the church.
